The Liberal Democrat candidate for the next General Election in Lewes constituency, James MacCleary, has condemned comments by Brighton MP, Lloyd Russell-Moyle in which he identified two sites in the constituency for new towns.
Councillors Paul Mellor (District) and Sarah Osborne (County) recently met with local cyclists in Ditchling to support the SWARM that cycled from Ditchling to Hassocks. Sarah Osborne spoke at the meeting as the local Lib Dem County Councillor.

Seaford residents have expressed concern at the state of some areas of Seaford cemetery. The cemetery includes 253 burials of the 1914-18 war as well as the graves of Canadian soldiers maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
Liberal Democrat councillors have been receiving numerous complaints about Seaford toilets. These include toilets in Place Lane, the Salts and the Buckle which are owned and maintained by Lewes District Council.
